CivicApps for Greater Portland (“CivicApps”) is an annual regional event designed to promote increased transparency and openness in government through the use of technology. In order for you to vote, submit applications, or post comments on this site, we require you to register and give us a very small amount of information. You give us your e-mail address and you nominate a ‘handle’ or user name by which you will be identified on the site. This information is only retained by the system to ensure vote rights on a per user basis and to notify winners.
We will take all reasonable and appropriate steps to respect your privacy. Any information you provide will not be shared with anyone nor used for any other purpose outside this Challenge, unless required by law. Your account is automatically deleted after the Challenge ends, or if you delete your account on the site yourself, which you can do at anytime. If you are concerned about being identified for any reason you may use a pseudonym.
If you have any concerns please let us know through our Contact page.
Registered users on the CivicApps website can update their information at anytime. You can also delete your account yourself. If you have any concerns about your account, please let us know through the Contact page.

This feature requires that you enter your name and email address and the name and email address of the recipient. CivicApps stores this information only momentarily and for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on a visitor’s computer to recognize repeat visitors, keep track of whether they are logged in or not, and otherwise facilitate their use of the site. Although no personal information is collected, session-specific data is collected to improve the functionality of the website and user experience.
CivicApps never shares your e-mail address with third parties. Personal information collected from the registration page is never shared, unless required by law. However, we use the information ourselves to send you information you have requested, including Challenge notices and news.
