Summary: Extend participation beyond Ideas and Apps, and into Datasets as well.

Currently, the CivicApps Data Catalog provides access only to data sets originating with the local government. However, local organizations and groups have valuable data as well. And some of them have the know-how to provide a reliable feed or API.

For example, my organization, OregonLaws.org, provides an API for legal definitions that are binding or relevant in Oregon:

https://www.weblaws.org/page/api_documentation

More APIs are in development, such as legal news and legislative updates. Civicapps.org might consider coming up with some sort of criteria for inclusion of these 'third party' Datasets in the catalog.
