Options abound for mobile Trimet apps. As one of the regions most frequented services there's lots of ROI to the community.

Trimet currently has various mobile apps for schedule and routing at http://trimet.org/apps/index.htm

But how about some apps that allow users to report infrastructure problems to Trimet (broken ticket machines, vandalized stops, seats or other equipment) or to report improper driving, service or safety issues.

Perhaps the City of Portland's iPhone app, available under a GPLv2 open source license, may be leveraged and interfaced to TriMet's reporting infrastructure. Source repository is found here: http://code.google.com/p/pdxiphoneapp/source/browse/#svn/trunk
